Ice Cream Sandwich, DCL Style

disney cruise line DIY ice cream sandwich

Cookies? Yes! Ice cream? Yes! But don’t want to have dessert twice? (Well, why not? But that’s another thing.)

Make an ice cream sandwich! This DCL Hack involves some walking and timing, but is completely do-able. And mostly all in photos.

Step 1: Get two cookies. Daisy’s De-Lites is a great source if they’re not at Cabana’s (if on Disney Wonder or Magic; on Disney Fantasy or Dream, they’re at…)

Step 2: Get ice cream. The real stuff; the soft serve will NOT work. It’s usually scooped by staff at Cabana’s during lunch dining at the back/dessert area.

A spoon will make your ice cream run look real, and will come in handy to smash it up a bit to go onto the cookie.

Step 3: Spoon ice cream onto one cookie. I like sprinkles, but I brought these on the ship (from Target). (I also used the spoon to keep too many from falling onto the plate, holding the spoon at the edge to mush them back onto the ice cream.)

Step 4: Top the thing with the other cookie.

Step 5: Eat it. And yes, this one’s chocolate… I had two.
