A good portion of the fun of going on a vacation to a Disney property is creating memories – and photos are the single biggest way to capture them to share. That said, beyond a trip for a day or so, keeping track of taking photos AND some of the additional perks may make one of the Disney PhotoPass services a worthwhile investment.
Photographers are available throughout the parks at key spots, at many character meetings, and at select special events. Also, be sure to ask for a Magic Shot – where the photographer will take a second photo, with a specific pose, and sprinkle a bit of magic into the final result of the photo.
The Disney PhotoPass service is available at the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World in Florida, Disney Aulani (Hawaii) and and Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports. In Disney World, one of the many functions of your Magic Band is to link photos to your account. (In Disneyland, your annual pass or PhotoPass laminated card provides this function.)
To access the photos for any of these locations, visit the Disney page to login, view, edit and download photos – or order a DVD of the photos. We found photos generally appeared fairly quickly after being taken, so if you really needed a re-do, you could decide before you got too far down the path of your day.
And some characters are pretty pesky – Sven showed up unexpectedly when we flipped through our photos…
